Captured ship: Fir Tree (master John West).
History: an English merchant ship (fly boat) bound from New England to a port in England, laden with masts, planks and timber; taken by the French privateer Francois, retaken on 8/18 January 1694/5 in the English Channel by HMS Northumberland (David Lambert commanding), and brought into an English port.
