Folios 275-276. A letter from Lord North, dated at Bushey Park [Surrey]. Encloses a letter [not filed here] from a man North believes to be the husband of [an unidentified] woman convicted, at Chester [Cheshire] whom he expects is trying to obtain her respite by a trick. The man is 'in constant receipt of considerable bribes and flattered with golden expectations in the future'. The letter also refers to the levy of last Friday [14 September 1781].
