Folios 243-244. A letter from Samp [?Sampson] Wright, dated at Bow Street [Middlesex] proposing a pardon for John Dalton, who was brought from the hulks to Tothill Fields [Westminster, Middlesex], to provide information concerning the 'late forgeries'. The Bank [of England] no longer expects to make progress with the information he has, but Dalton would not be safe returning to a lighter.
