Description

Captured ship: Concord of St Malo (commander Jean Martin).

History: a French privateer (120 tons, 14 guns), bound from St Malo on a cruise; taken on 25 December / 4 January 1696/7 off the Lizard by HMS Plymouth (John Jennings commanding), and brought into Plymouth.

  • [CP 1]: two examinations;
  • [CP 2]: docket (still attached to the ship's papers).

Ship’s Paper numbered SP 1, a letter of marque.

[Decision: ship and cargo condemned, 25 February 1696/7]
