Captured ship: Concord of Rotterdam (master Peter Francis).
History: a Dutch ship (40 tons), bound from Rotterdam to Cork, Ireland, laden with vinegar, lamp black, tobacco and hops; taken on 20/30 August 1696 off the Scilly Isles by the French privateer Comte de Tessel, retaken on 22 August / 1 September 1696 between the Sept-Îles and Brehac by the [Guernsey] privateer St Martin's Galley (Peter Thomas commanding), and brought into Guernsey.
