Description

Captured ship: Commode of Brest (commander de Belleville Listandaut).

History: a French privateer or warship (30 tons, 8 guns, 33 men), bound from Brest on a cruise; taken on 23 August / 2 September 1695 by HMS Portland (Jame Littleton commanding), and brought into Dartmouth.
