Description

Captured ship: St Claude of Le Havre de Grace (master Guillaume Hottot).

History: a French merchant ship (120 tons), bound from Le Havre to La Rochelle, in ballast; taken on 27 February / 8 March 1690/1 off Alderney by HMS St Albans (Richard Fitzpatrick commanding), and brought into Guernsey.
