Description

Captured ship: St Claude of Le Havre de Grace (master Claude Marrée).

History: a French ship (120 tons), bound from the Banks of Newfoundland to Le Havre, laden with fish; taken on 16/26 December 1689 off the Scilly Isles by HMS St Albans (John Layton commanding), and brought into Fowey.
