Administrative / biographical background

The National Media Museum (formerly the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television) is a museum in Bradford. The museum was re-named in 2006, but originally opened in 1983. Since that time it grew to become the most visited museum in the UK outside of London.

In March 2017 its name was changed from the National Media Museum to the National Science and Media Museum.
