Folios 33-40. Folio 33. Memorial from the Italian engineer Joseph Pinelli addressed to 'Monseigneur' asking for financial aid to go back to his home in Venice. After working with James Addison, lieutenant on HMS Arrogant, and then captain of the 'Minerve', he was asked by Mr Richie, the British Consul in Venice, to go to London to work on their ships' armament, but that was last year and he has not yet been tasked with any work so he would like to go back to Italy. Folio 34. Joseph Pinelli to the King. Memorial making the same request as in the preceding document enclosing:- Folios 35 - 38. A catalogue of Pinelli's inventions and achievements. Folio 39. Certificate by James Addison, Lieutenant of HMS Arrogant, that both he and Robert Richie, British Consul in Venice are of the opinion that Pinelli and his invention would be of material service to the kingdom and the Navy.
