Injury: Fracture of base of skull (terminated fatally).
Details of accident: Supposed to have alighted from last wagon of train drawn off No. 2 Down by Terminus Yard Pilot and knocked down by 7.50am passenger train from Queen Street, Engine 117. Hocking was found lying unconscious between No. 1 and " Down lines by Brakesman J Powell in about two minutes after passenger train had passed.
