The Parliamentary Parties Panel was established under the Parliamentary Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000 (PPERA). The Panel is administrated by The Electoral Commission and is made up of members of Parliamentary Parties that have two or more MPs sitting. The Panel submits representation of information to the Commission on matters affecting political parties.
The 2001 minutes of the Parliamentary Parties Panel (PPP). Section 4 of the Political Parties Elections and Referendum Act (PPERA) 2000 required the establishment of a Parliamentary Parties Panel (PPP) to allow parties to submit representation or information to the Electoral Commission. PPP is based in Westminster. It was the first panel established and the only one required to be established under the Act.
