Copy of a letter from Viscount Weymouth to the Lord President [of the Council, Earl Gower], dated at St James's [Middlesex] suggesting a withdrawal of permission for Mr Minet to operate four vessels plying between Calais [France] and Dover [Kent]; and 'the Calais packet' from London. Follows orders, to the Post Master General, restricting cross-Channel passenger and packet boats services.
