Folios 233-234. A letter from S [Stanier] Porten to Anthony Todd, dated at St James's [Middlesex] lobbying for the 'Dashwood' packet boat, under Captain Burnaby, to be ordered to sail with urgent despatches directly from Falmouth to Gibraltar, without creating the delay which would arise form calling at Lisbon [Portugal]. Follows the 'Helena' sloop of war, with earlier despatches, being carried to Brest [France].
