Folios 210-211. A letter from Captain Robt [Robert] Kidd to Stanier Porten reporting large numbers of cutters being built at Dover [Kent], Folkestone [Kent] and Castel Holl [?Castle Hall], plus two built by Mr Lode, contracted for by Pope at Ostend [Austrian Netherlands]. Kidd reports that the French court is offering to supply guns and ammunition to merchants if they will 'cruise against the English'.
