Folio 88. Undated paper [apparently an advertisement] 'The shipwrights are discharged for petitioning to the King to have their wages raised to 2s 6d per day - as so piteous a case as the shipwrights claim the compassion of all Englishmen, and as our duty to do all good we can do and to do to our neighbours as we would be done by, I think it now my duty to inform the honest shipwrights who are discharged and out of employ, to go to America where they will get 4s 6d per day New York, and 5s 6d per day old work and 3s per day common labour - work plenty, good pay, good acommodation, provision plenty and all possible encouragement gave to them. - There is ships ready now at London the captain[s] Lawrence and Read both of them to be spoke with at the New York and Pennsylvania Coffee House, or on the Royal Exchange London when at Change hours from 12 to 3 o'clock'.
