Folios 102-103. Letter dated at Shadwell from Jno [John] Sherwood to Lord Suffolk that he went alone to speak to the journeymen weavers assembled at Moorfields. The weavers told him they were afraid their bill before the House of Commons would not pass but agreed to disperse on his promising that if they had any application to make either to the King or the Ministry they could call upon him at any time. He also says that the coalheavers 'are full of work very quiet and inoffensive at present' but fears there have been some among them persuading them to apply for an amendment to the late Coalheavers Act.
