Folios 297-298. J [Joshua] Dudley, from Pall Mall, [Middlesex], received on 25 October 1771 concerning his detention [after alleging arson caused a fire in the dockyards at Portsmouth, Hampshire]. Refers to his transfer to the King's Bench; and requests consideration of Mrs Dudley's welfare, and possible return to Ireland. Also mentions: the Earl of Suffolk; and Rochford's secretary, Mr [Stanier] Porten.
