Folios 295-296. Copy of a letter from Chas [Charles] Dudley to the printer Mr [Samuel] Bladon, 28 Paternoster Row, dated at Berwick Street, Soho, [Middlesex]. Concerns a fire at the dockyard, Portsmouth, Hampshire [on 27 July 1770], writings on the subject by 'Junius', alleging that the French gentlemen were behind it, and that the White Boys in Ireland were linked to it. The Earl of Bute, Lord Mansfield and the French ambassador have been wrongly accused.
