A letter from [the Lord Mayor of London] Brass Crosby to Lord [?Rochford], dated at mansion House [London], enclosing a letter from Jonathan Brittain [Britain] concerning the dockyard fire at Portsmouth, Hampshire, on 27 July 1770]. Folio 262. Britain's letter to Crosby, dated at Reading [Berkshire] gaol, referring to [Joshua] Dudley [who alleges arson], Sir Joseph Mawbey, and a plot to kill the King [George III] on 7 June 1770.
