Folios 132-133. Report of Justice [William] Blackstone on John Morris, condemned at Salisbury [Wiltshire] on 7 June 1771 for being in England after sentence of transportation, dated at Exeter [Devon]. Norris was sentenced at the Old Bailey for grand larceny in May and June 1769; and, after again being charged with robbery, was capture with one Tierman in a Wood near Whiteparish, Wiltshire. Mentions the role of Sir John Fielding, and a smallpox outbreak.
