Folios 150-151. Josias Cuningham to the King. Petition setting out events from 24 June 1771 when he was brought before Sir John Fielding on suspicion of spoiling some flowers and shrubs in the Princess Dowager's garden at Kew to his escape from the house of one Farmer Jennings outside Dublin where he had been taken by Pryke. He hopes that the King will order Lord Falmouth [Hugh Boscawen, Captain of the Yeomen of the Guard] to discharge Pryke; bestow some assistance on him to enable him to punish Pryke and Williams; liberty to resign his half pay and sell an ensigncy to discharge a debt of £200 'incurred by this affair'. He asks for the return of 'a light half guinea and the Vendue Masters sale of his things at New York' both of which he sent with his petition.
