Letter from the Earl of Hertford [Francis Seymour-Conway, Lord Chamberlain] to the Earls of Rochford and Suffolk that out of the King's messengers, both ordinary and extraordinary, they have chosen 16 who are solely to attend the Earls' respective departments. The names of the sixteen are Blackmore, Booth, Bullock, Cleverly, Hind, King, Lauzun, Mann, Needham, Ogg, Otto, Pearson junior, Russell, Roworth, Slaughter and Staley.
