Folios 49-50. Letter, dated at Edinburgh, from Alexr [Alexander] Pirie [a Scottish divine] to the King. He makes various references to the Bible and appears to be seeking a reward of his 'bread without any work should be given to' him and his 'water made sure'. He mentions Bishop Burnett, St Mary's Cathedral, Carlisle and William Pirie tenant in [?] near Drum within eight miles of Aberdeen.
