Letter, dated at Whitburn [County Durham], from Sir Hedth [Hedworth] Williamson to 'My Lord' requesting that Mr Brooks, secretary to the late and present Bishop of Durham, and Mr Lee, Register of the Court of Chancery at Durham, be reimbursed their expenses incurred in ensuring that Sir Hedworth's patent of appointment as sheriff was completed and delivered so that the Assizes 'might not be lost'.
