Folios 316-317. Certificate from the Recorder of Bristol, William Foster, to the King on the cases of Elizabeth Serjeant and Sarah Davis convicted on 19 October 1761 of stealing goods and money from William Wady in his house. Davis was sentenced to seven years transportation and Serjeant to death but was reprieved. Foster recommends Serjeant for mercy on condition of transportation for a term of seven years.
