Folio 276. Letter from Patrick Fielding in Chelmsford jail, to Mr Richardson at the Earl of Egremont's office at Whitehall imploring his assistance in forwarding his petition to the King 'that I may once more have my liberty and by my behaviour show that I am as willing to fight for my King and country as any other' of the King's subjects. Being encouraged by the many convicts that have received clemency by serving on land and sea, he is in daily expectation of receiving his pardon. Endorsed with a note of 'the fees' totalling 11s 1d.
