Folios 272-275. Folio 272. James Knight of Brindwood, Herefordshire to the King. Petition for Letters Patent for his invention of a new method of making and drawing iron and other metals by a new kind of wood bellows for producing blast to heat or melt the metal and a new method of 'forge harness'. Referral to the Attorney or Solicitor-General signed by the Earl of Egremont. Folio 273. James Knight's affidavit in support of his petition. Folios 274-275. Attorney-General's report recommending that Berkeley's petition be granted with the usual proviso for enrolment in Chancery of a written description.
