A copy of a Memorial from the North American contractors to Samuel Martin at the Treasury concerning the re-supply of provisions at Quebec. Folio 166. Letter from Saml [Samuel] Martin, Treasury Chambers, to Mr [Robert] Wood that the Treasury 'are obliged rather to put the public to an expense which may prove superfluous if the troops should be recalled from America than risk the distressing of the Army by want of provisions if the circumstances of the War should induce His Majesty to continue the troops in North America after that time'.
