Folios 102-105. Folio 102. George Dundas of Banbury, Oxfordshire whip maker, to the King. Petition for Letters Patent for 'the sole making, using and vending' of the machine he has invented for plaiting or weaving of whips. Referral to the Attorney or Solicitor-General signed W [William] Pitt. Folio 103. George Dundas's affidavit in support of his petition. Folios 104-105. Attorney-General's report to the King recommending that petition be granted on the terms requested on condition that within a reasonable time Dundas enrols in Chancery a description of his invention.
