Folio 290. Letter from Francis Gildart, Town Clerk of Liverpool, to the Earl of Rochford enclosing a petition from the merchants and traders of Liverpool requesting that some more effective means be taken in regard to ships in quarantine in order to prevent the cattle disease 'now raging in some parts of Europe' [particulary in Eastern Europe] being brought into Lancashire. Petition not filed here.
