Folios 238-247. Folio 238. Note 'Papers and Narrative to the Marquis D'Aubarede's Plans and Schemes. 21 December 1770 received from L Macleane'. Folio 239 Cover with seal addressed to L Macleane Esquire, Queen Ann's Street, Cavendish Square. Folios 240-247. Letters from Wiliam Bernard, Marquis D'Aubarede, assking 'Monsieur' for help as he and his wife find themselves in a dire situation because the man he was depending on for his living, Mr Duval, is being chased by his creditors. He explains his and Mr Duval's situation and also talks about politics (mainly about Spain). There is mention of Mr [?Robert] Wood, Lord Shelburne, Mr [Stanier] Porten, Mr Wedderburne [?the Earl of Rosslyn], Mr Weymouth, Mr de [des] Vignoles and Mr Macleane.
