Folios 228-233. Folio 223 and 233. Note from Edward Stanley at the Customs House, London to Stanier Porten enclosing;- Folio 229 and 232. Commissioners of Customs certificate that William Bates is the present Deputy Collector of the Customs Outwards and Thomas Gascoigne the present Deputy Comptroller Outwards in the port of London and are the proper officers for granting Bills of Health. Copy. Endorsed 'The originals sent to Mr Gordon and Mr Irvine 18 Decr [December] 1770. Folio 230. Bill of Health for the 'London Merchant', master Andrew Butchart, bound for Ostend with a cargo of East Indian calicos belonging to Richard Warrington. Endorsed 'Form of particular Bills of Health granted in London'. Folio 231. Bill of Health for the 'Trecothick', master James Moore, bound for Malaga.
