Request from the merchants concerned in the shipping of goods on British vessels to Ostend for an appointment to see the Earl of Rochford about the detention of the 'Hunter' sloop, Captain Willm [William] Davies, and other difficulties resulting from the Extraordinary Ordinance of the Empress Queen [Marie Therese of Austria] concerning the Bills of Health required [in the Habsburg Southern Netherlands] Dated at John's Coffy [sic] House Cornhill. A note in a different hand says that William Bates is the proper officer for granting Bills of Health.
