Folio 215. Thomas Landakin and Joseph Chapman to the King. Petition for a pardon conditional on their enlistment 'in the service of Your Majesty and their country' having been sentenced at the Old Bailey to transportation for the theft of some linen. The petition has been signed by Wm [William] Walls, Saml [Samuel Massey, Jas [James] Wardell, Thos [Thomas] Howard, Moses Alnutt and Tho [Thomas] Hollinshead recommending the petitioners as suitable objects of the King's mercy and fit to serve in the Navy. Referral to the Recorder of London for his report. Signed by Lord Weymouth.
