Description

Folios 206-214. Folio 206. Letter from the Committee of Subscribers to the intended Chester canal at the 'Talbot' in Chester to 'My Lord' that a navigable canal from Chester to Middlewich in Cheshire there to join the canal between the Rivers Trent and Mersey will by its connection with several other canals be of great benefit and in effect open the port of Chester to other parts of the country. They enclose:- Folios 207-214. Pamphlet 'Remarks relating to a canal intended to be made from the city of Chester to join the navigation from the Trent to the Mersey at or near Middlewich'. Printed at Chester by John Monk 1770.
