Central Management Services was responsible for the management of the Welsh Office's buildings estate and the provision of central services such as the day to day management of accommodation, refurbishment projects, office space planning, maintenance, post rooms, security, health and safety, and catering. They were also responsible for major building projects such as the creation of a new Senedd building for the National Assembly for Wales.The function is currently carried out by Facilities Management, which is part of Corporate Services within the Permanent Secretary's Group
