Folio 390: Initial Proceedings of UB.124 (sunk on 20 July 1918). On 6 July 1918 left Heligoland with UB.83, UB.90, destroyer T.137 and six minesweepers. After mines encountered and sighing two hostile destroyers, returned to Brunsbuttel to pass through the Kaiser Wilhelm Canal to Kiel.
Folios 390-391: First and Last Cruise of UB.124. On 9 July left Kiel and proceeded via the Little Belt and the Skaw and headed for Peterhead. On 20 July off Tory Island torpedoed and sank S.S. Justicia but lost trim, was depth charged and came to rest on bottom. On re-surfacing lost trim and was depth charged. Ordered to abandon ship, UB.124 sank. After 20 minutes the survivors were rescued.

Folios 398-399: Torpedo Firing in Submarine School, Kiel. Commanding officers' training includes attacking a defended convoy. They have to make a successful attack without being sighted, firing 30 to 40 torpedoes.
Folio 399: Method of Attacking Convoys. The course and speed of a convoy is obtained, the submarine endeavours to get ahead and attack from between the convoy columns.
Folio 399: Passage of Fair Isle Channel. To avoid observation from kite balloons, submarines submerge to go through the channel.
