Folios 317-318: Last Cruise of UC.75 (sunk on 31 May 1918). On 22 May 1918 left Bruges without mines and proceeded to Flamborough Head. On 31 May in low visibility surfaced to attack a convoy but was rammed and damaged by the steamer Blaydonian. She was then rammed or bumped by other steamers and the destroyer HMS Fairy. The crew were ordered to abandon the submarine and the captain flooded the tanks to sink her. Fourteen officers and men were rescued by the destroyer which also sank an hour afterwards due damage sustained during the ramming.
Folio 318: Remarks on Survivors of UC.75. The captain, Lieutenant Walter Schmtz had made 13 or 15 previous cruises and taken command of UC.75 in February 1918. Sub-Lieutenant Otto Freiherr von Recum had also joined UC.75 in February 1918. Several of the crew had been on board for over a year.
Folios 318-319: Previous History of UC.75. UC.75 had commissioned in December 1916 and operated in the English Channel, off S.W. Ireland, the Irish Sea and occasionally the East Coast of England. Previously under the command of Lieutenant Lohs, she was one of the most successful submarines in the Flanders Flotilla.

Folio 320: Flanders Submarine Flotilla Consisting of: UB.10, UB.12, UB.16, UB.30, UB.31, UB.40, UB.57, UB.59, UB.74, UB.78, UB.80, UB.103, UB.107, UB.108, UC.4, UC.11, UC.17, UC.64, UC.70, UC.71, UC.77, UC.78 with several more expected to achieve a strength of about forty. Losses: UB.17, UB.33, UB.58, UB.79, UC.10, UC.57, UC.78, UC.70 and UC.103.
Folio 320: Passage of Dover Straits. Whole passage to be made during darkness with the tide. The mine nets off Belgium coast no longer act as a deterrent. The net barrage from the Goodwins to Dunkirk regarded as innocuous. The existence of a deep minefield is know and to be dangerous to dive in this locality.
Folio 320: Mediterranean Submarine Flotilla. Mention of U.72 and U.73.
Folios 320-321: Rewards and Decorations. Lieutenant Schmitz believes that a graduated scale of tonnage sunk is used to make awards.
