Folios 203-204: General Remarks on the Prisoners. Seven prisoners from A.19 and one from A.7 were picked up by the French. Kapitanleutnant Boldemann, commanding Ostend Half Flotilla refused to give any information. Steuermann (Navigating W.O.) in command of 'A.19' and Maschinist (Engine Room W.O.) of 'A.7' gave most information.

Folio 204: Details of the Action of 20-21 March. Three German Flotillas composed of destroyers and 'A' class boats were to bombard Dunkirk. A.19 and A.7 were to mark the N.E. end of Smal Bank. The British Botha and Morris and the French destroyers Bouclier, Capitaine Mehl and Magon attacked and A.19 was cut in half by Botha and A.7 was sunk by gunfire.

It is a hydraulic coupling allowing the steam turbine to operate at high revolutions while driving the propellers at lower revolutions (folios 213-215). Plate VI: Sketch of Fottinger Hydraulic Transformer (folio 215). Geared Turbines: A few German destroyers were fitted with geared turbines but the experiment was probably unsuccessful (folio 215).
