Description

Folios 170-183: CB number 01415 O.X.O, Copy number 283, UC.38 Translation of French Report on Interrogation of Survivors, February 1918. UC. 38 was sunk on 14 December 1917.

Folios 173: Proceeded from Cattaro. After laying mines in the Gulf of Patras she attacked a convoy with torpedoes. Damaged by depth charges the submarine surfaced and was abandoned. Eight of her crew were killed by gunfire or drowned, the remainder being rescued by French torpedo boat destroyers.
