Folios 150-151. Folio 150. Letter from Hamed Aga (envoy of Tripoli) at Soho Square to the Duke of Richmond that in order to do himself justice he has found it necessary to give his protection to his housekeeper Anna Eliza Forrest and asks that this be registered in the Duke's office and that of the sheriffs of London and Middlesex as he 'hopes thereby to get that rascal Brecknock punished who has been the cause of all the trouble' Hamed Aga has given the Duke. Folio 151. Note to Hamed Aga from the Duke of Richmond that the former's granting of protection to his housekeeper 'might have the appearance of a consideration for inducing her to turn evidence against Mr Brecknock', the Duke thinks it would not be right for her to be given the Ambassador's protection at present 'but endeavours will be used to accomplish this by some means less liable to exception'.
