Attorney-General's report to the King recommending, with the usual proviso for enrolment, that the petition of Robert Sutton and Daniel Sutton for Letters Patent for their invention of be granted. Folio 148. Robert Sutton, surgeon of Framingham Earl, Norfolk and Daniel Sutton, his son surgeon of Ingatestone, Essex, to the King. Petition for Letters Patent for their invention 'a specific medicine that will certainly produce a favourable species of the small pox'. Referral to the Attorney or Solicitor-General. Signed by the Duke of Richmond. Folio 149. Affidavit of Robert Sutton and Daniel Sutton in support of their petition.
