Description

Folios 71-74. Folios 71-72. Attorney-General's report to the King recommending, with the usual proviso for enrolment, that Foster's petition for Letters Patent for his invention 'of a composition which after a few hours taking is an effectual and certain cure for the ague which he calls Foster's Compound' be granted. Signed C [Charles] Yorke. Folio 73. Abraham Foster, peruke maker of Seething Lane, All Hallows, Barking, to the King. Petition for Letters Patent for his invention. Referral to the Attorney or Solicitor-General signed by the Duke of Grafton. Folio 74. Abraham Foster's affidavit in support of his petition.
