Mr Baron Smythe's certificate to the King recommending mercy on condition of transportation for the following capitally convicted on the Home Circuit:- at Hertford John Balm for robbing Thomas Glasscock on the highway; at Chelmsford, Essex Edward Barnard for the highway robbery of William Cook; at Maidstone, Kent, John Dugmore and Samuel Barker for robbing John Park on the highway; Thomas Molloy and Thomas Lockesgegg [sic] for stealing from John Dendy; William Godfrey for stealing a gelding belonging to Richard Hornbuckle; John Tisely for stealing a wether sheep belonging to Thomas Newington; at East Grinstead, Sussex Thomas otherwise William Blackford for stealing four oxen belonging to Thomas Dove and John Larkin; Thomas Shaw for stealing a gelding belonging to Richard Curteis; Charles Churcher for stealing 26 wether sheep belonging to Thomas Drewitt; William Swaine for house breaking and stealing from Jonathan Morris; at Kingston upon Thames, Surrey John Durham for stealing a gelding belonging to William Drury; Hannah Jenkins for stealing from Thomas Talbot in the house of Charles Chapham; Thomas Shakleton [sic] for stealing a gelding belonging to Colonel Robert Robinson.
