Folios 107-108. Extract of a letter from Colonel Higginson to the Secretary at War dated at Ouassigany, St Vincent regarding the number of troops that are sick owing to 'the badness of our habitations and the unhealthiness of their situation being on the borders of a large pestilential swamp' and strongly recommending the barracks be relocated to a healthier site about a quarter of a mile from the town. He makes reference to 'the wretchedness' of the troops' situation in Tobago and expresses the hope that if a regiment is ordered to Dominica the four companies now there will be sent to St Vincent. Endorsed 'In Mr Whately's of the 23 May 1765'.
