Attorney-General's report to the King recommending that the petition of Peter Holme, Edward Cropper, James Nicholson and Robert Nicholson merchants all of Liverpool, Lancashire for Letters Patent for their invention of 'a new method of making large quantities of allum from a liquor made from copperas materials' be granted provided that a written description be enrolled in Chancery within such reasonable time as specified in the Letters Patent.
