Description

Folios 61-65. Folios 61-63. Attorney-General's report recommending that the petition of John Milne be granted on the terms therein specified. Signed Flt [Fletcher] Norton. Folio 64. John Milne of Manchester, Lancashire wire worker to the King. Petition for Letters Patent for his invention of 'a new machine or wire-cillender [sic] for dressing flour from wheat, barley and other grains to be worked by straps or gears and used in wind and water mills'. Referral to the Attorney or Solicitor-General signed by the earl of Sandwich. Folio 65. John Milne's affidavit in support of his petition sworn at Manchester before Allen Vigor.
