Folios 23-24. Letter from [George Montagu] Dunk [Earl of] Halifax at St James's to the Lords of Trade responding to theirs of 1 February concerning the seizure of Spanish vessels in the port of Pensacola, the shortage of additional troops in East and West Florida and the dispute which had arisen concerning the command of the troops in West Florida. Major-General [Thomas] Gage is mentioned as are the ports of harbours of East and West Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, 'the British islands in the West Indies' and Jamaica. Draft.
