Judges' certificate recommending mercy on condition of transportation for the following tried and capitally convicted on the Western Circuit:- at Winchester James Boyce 'for stealing in a ship in a port of entry'; at Exeter James O'Bryan for robbery, James Rowe and George Johnson otherwise Jackson otherwise Nutcombe both for horse stealing; at Bodmin William Davey for sheep stealing, and Richard Sibley for stealing in a dwelling house; at New Sarum [Wiltshire] Abraham Barrett for horse stealing and Basil Francis for stealing money in a dwelling house; at Bridgwater [Somerset] Thomas Light for sheep stealing.
